The staves alone are printed for the musical examples of the third and fourth parts; they have been filled in with music notes in manuscript. In four parts, of which only the first two, treating of music in general and of plainsong, are by Volcyr; the last two, dealing with measured music and with counterpoint, are by Malcior of Worms. Later completely reworked by the author and published as his Enchiridion musices ... de Gregoriana et figurativa.
