Includes only the first and second parts: the third pt. although ready for publication in 1679, first appeared with the 2nd ed. of pts. 1 and 2,1696. In the 1696 ed. the author refers to his "Exercitationes music" as containing the substance of a fifth part. The fourth pt. was destroyed by fire.
